Champions have a wide range and variety of emotions, and a great passion for novelty. They see life as an exciting drama, pregnant with possibilities for both good and evil, and they want to experience all the meaningful events and fascinating people in the world. The most outgoing of the Idealists, Champions often can't wait to tell others of their extraordinary experiences. Champions can be tireless in talking with others, like fountains that bubble and splash, spilling over their own words to get it all out. And usually this is not simple storytelling; Champions often speak (or write) in the hope of revealing some truth about human experience, or of motivating others with their powerful convictions. Their strong drive to speak out on issues and events, along with their boundless enthusiasm and natural talent with language, makes them the most vivacious and inspiring of all the types.

Fiercely individualistic, Champions strive toward a kind of personal authenticity, and this intention always to be themselves is usually quite attractive to others. At the same time, Champions have outstanding intuitive powers and can tell what is going on inside of others, reading hidden emotions and giving special significance to words or actions. In fact, Champions are constantly scanning the social environment, and no intriguing character or silent motive is likely to escape their attention. Far more than the other Idealists, Champions are keen and probing observers of the people around them, and are capable of intense concentration on another individual. Their attention is rarely passive or casual. On the contrary, Champions tend to be extra sensitive and alert, always ready for emergencies, always on the lookout for what's possible.

Champions are good with people and usually have a wide range of personal relationships. They are warm and full of energy with their friends. They are likable and at ease with colleagues, and handle their employees or students with great skill. They are good in public and on the telephone, and are so spontaneous and dramatic that others love to be in their company. Champions are positive, exuberant people, and often their confidence in the goodness of life and of human nature makes good things happen.

Joan Baez, Phil Donahue, Paul Robeson, Bill Moyer, Elizibeth Cady Stanton, Joeseph Campbell, Edith Wharton, Sargent Shriver, Charles Dickens, and Upton Sinclair are examples of Idealist Champions

well lets see here...

last night i was talking to my dad about getting chains for my new car and he blew up in my face again. since i was gone this last weekend cuz of the weather, he thinks that im not serious about taking care of my shit. like i was expecting him to do all the work for me... as fucking if!

like im going to let him have anything major to do with my car anymore, if he does one favor for me i have to be forever fucking gratefull for it. like kiss his ass and do whatever he tells me to and the shit he doesn;t tell me to do. idk its so stupid

then he tells me that since im not in college right now i have to pay rent... and he made it seem like i was never going back to college too

i told them a few months ago that i was going to take a semester off shool to just work and try to save money and move out... and they were all for that since i made the decision on my own and was taking control of my life, and lets face it... school really isn't for me... at least not right now it isn't. i have no idea what career i want and i dont want to sit in school and wait to figure it out and waste time and money. it would be extremely pointless for me to do that right now, especially with the econonmy being shit the way it is.

so when i told them that they were all for it and supported my decision... now four months after he decides that i have to pay them rent since im not in school, and he trys to make it seem like we all had discussed that awhile ago and i just ignored it... as if i would ignore something like that!

its just another way of control for them... like making me call everytime i go somewhere that isn't work or home. or making me do the menial chores everyday so that i can do something for myself, HELLO!!!!!! im 20 years old and im not a little kid anymore. its like after you reach a certain age your parents should start to treat you like an adult and they still haven't gotten past me turning 16.

im not against paying rent... not at all... i get that they think this will push me towards responsibility but while im paying it i shouldn't have to be their little kid anymore. i should be able to come and go from the house without "permission" or having my room fucking spotless and their dishes cleaned and shit like that. like yeah i know that needs to get done but if they expect me to do that before going out at night they are sorely mistaken. i think if its been awhile since ive done that shit then yeah its ok to ask me to get it done before i leave. but i dont need a check list to do every fucking time.

but what do i know? maybe im being unreasonable in this and just acting like a kid as my parents think im always doing.

i think once the one part of the situation at home changes the whole system should too. oh well at least im moving out in june
